Alexander Technique

Learning the Alexander Technique can really enhance your riding skills, no matter whether you are novice or experienced. This unique system provides an education in how to fulfil your potential as a rider, improving balance, coordination, awareness and posture leads to giving clearer aid to our horses. This in turn makes us more effective and confident.

Alexander work will provide a tool which will allow you to control your reactions without tension, using yourself with the least possible effort. This creates harmony between horse and rider, more freedom and suppleness. The balance and posture we have on the ground affects our use on the horse. In an Alexander lesson the teacher wil convey, throught he use of his or her hands, the improved body use that is required. This, combined with the pupil's participation will lead to re-education of mind and body coordination. It is advisable to have a series of lessons as this shows the true benefit of the Technique.
