Come and experience the Alexander Technique in a group setting. The Oxford Summer Workshops are an ideal way to get started if you are a beginner and a great way to refresh and extend your knowledge of the Technique if you have already had lessons. Come to one session, or come as often as you like.

There are sessions most Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings throughout the summer. The class size is small (usually no more than six) and the classes are often attended by teachers of the Technique, who welcome the chance to refresh their skills, so there is always a range of experience amongst those present which creates stimulating opportunities for everyone to learn.

The venue is “The Coach House”, Quarry Road, Headington Oxford OX3 8NX.

The cost if you pre-book three sessions is £90 (£70 for students and concessions) or £35 (£28) if you pay per session.

The classes are run by Stephen Cooper, head of the Oxford Alexander Training School

Alexander Technique Introductory Evening Course

This course is designed for those with no experience of the Technique, to give an introduction to the work and to help you to get started. You will be able to apply what you learn and also decide whether you want to learn more by taking one-to-one lessons.

Venue: 28 Beaumont St, Oxford OX1 2NP

The course is taught by Stephen Cooper. Stephen has been teaching since 1979 and, as well as his private practice, he is Director of the Oxford Alexander Training School (see www.alexandertechniqueoxford.co.uk for details)

The course is held on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and lasts for four weeks, after which the next course begins. Contact Stephen for details of when the next course starts.
Cost is £70 for the course (£60 for concessions and students) or £20 (£17) if you pay per session.
