The mixed sessions (teachers, students, pupils and beginners) provide all participants with something relevant to their
level of understanding of the Technique. During the class Stephen will work individually with each participant while also
creating opportunities to involve some or all of those present in group working as appropriate.
All classes are open to:
- absolute beginners
- pupils (anyone who has had or is having Alexander Technique lessons)
- prospective students
- teachers & students of the Technique
Morning sessions are from 9.15am to 12.30pm
The morning starts and ends with practical sessions. There is usually a tea-break and discussion in the middle of the
morning.
Evening sessions are from 7.00pm to 9.00pm
The work is all practical, with a short tea break in the middle.
Numbers are limited to six people per session.
Participants can join as many or as few classes as they like.
Venue: Classes will take place at The Coach House, Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8NX
These classes are run by Stephen Cooper, director of the Oxford Alexander Training School. Stephen looks forward to
refreshing his own skills during the summer by working with other Alexander teachers, while helping to introduce the
Technique to beginners and to enhance the experience of those who have already had lessons.
Dates: There will be classes in the Summer of 2008 throughout July and August: Morning sessions on Wednesdays and
Thursdays, Evening sessions on Thursdays and Fridays.
Cost: The classes are free to teachers of the Alexander Technique,
£15 per session for trainee Alexander teachers (ie students in training)
and £30 (£25 for concessions) per session for all other participants.
