Becoming a Friend of STAT
or joining AT Friends

Are you interested in becoming more involved and in contact with STAT and the wider Alexander Technique community?

You can keep in touch with developments and news in the Alexander Technique community in two ways: by becoming a Friend of STAT or joining AT Friends. For information on Friends of the Alexander Technique visit http://atfriends.org

Joining STAT as a Friend

STAT has many Friends both in the UK and overseas.

Friend membership enables Friends to keep in touch with developments both within STAT and the wider Alexander Technique community.

STAT Friends receive the Alexander Journal (published annually) which is full of interesting and varied articles on many aspects of the Alexander Technique.

Friends also receive the printed STAT newsletter Statnews in January, May and September and selected mailings of interest during the course of the year. Statnews is full of articles, letters and reviews contributed by members of STAT regarding the work of the Society and the Alexander Technique. In this way you can keep up to date with news of developments in the Technique and read the views aired by teaching and student members.

Friends are also welcome to attend the annual memorial lecture which is held after the AGM at the Annual Conference and so also meet other members. Friends receive the UK and World STAT teaching members directory, which is published every two years.

Friend membership costs £40 per annum or £20 for those joining half way through the membership year (January to December).

If you would like to become a Friend of STAT please complete the application form below selecting either the UK or World Friend application form. A teaching member of STAT should recommend you to join as a Friend by also signing the application form.
