This page enables you, as a STAT teaching member, or member of one of the Affiliated Societies, or as an administrator for courses taught by STAT members, to submit details of group courses, workshops, holidays and retreats on the Alexander Technique so that they can be found on the STAT website.

Course details will be deleted from the website after the course has taken place.

You can include what information you wish, but here's a possible checklist:

  • Course title
  • Description of contents of course and the range of students for whom it might be suitable
  • Venue
  • Who the teachers are
  • Dates and times
  • Cost
  • Contact details (for you and/or for the venue)
  • Your website and email (which will be included as links)
To email your course details
Email Tim Soar, the website editor, at:

Photos and other pictures
You can also include photos or graphics (these should be relevant to your course, eg a photo of the venue or of you teaching on a previous, similar course, or your individual practice logo; so no photos of FM or STAT logos please!).

Pictures should be sent as email attachments in .jpg or .gif format. Please do not send large .jpg files direct from your digital camera; they are much too large to use on the website as they are, and take a long time to email. If you have the computer skills, please reduce such images to a manageable size (say a few hundred pixels across) before you send them to me.

Spam-proofing
Protecting yourself from spam ("junk" email) is becoming ever more important. You will be reassured to know that all links to email addresses on the STAT website (including the Members' Section of the website) are coded in such a way as to render them invisible to the "spider" search programs used by spammers.
