About the Society
Teaching members of STAT:
STAT’s further aims are to promote public awareness and understanding of the
Alexander Technique, and to encourage research. The Society publishes a regular
newsletter (STATNews) and The Alexander Journal

STAT holds a national Annual Conference in June.
Professional standards and teacher training
STAT training courses are regulated through a system of external moderation. See the page on
teacher training for details of STAT and STAT approved three year training courses in the
UK and other countries.
