The Society of Teachers of the
As part of STAT’s marketing initiative for 2009 to 2010, the Society has produced a survey, in an effort to collect information to be used towards the promotion of the Technique and understanding pupil demographics.

Our aim is to improve the service Alexander teachers provide to pupils, and for the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) to discover how we can provide more relevant information and services to the general public, as well as to compare it to the results of the previous pupil survey. The 2006 Survey provided us with a lot of useful information. This time the questions are in a format which will enable us to use the data collected for scientific research purposes as well.

Your help, therefore, would be of great value and we would appreciate it if you filled in and returned the survey to the STAT office by the 15th February 2010. You can email it to or post it (this is a freepost address, so no stamp is required):

Freepost RLZL-UTSA-AXSK
The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique

Alternatively return the complete questionnaire to your teachers and ask them to return the forms to us on your behalf.

Prize draw

After the 15th February we will have a draw at the STAT office. 40 people of those who sent us their completed forms will win a copy of The Expanding Self by Goddard Binkley (aka "The Binkley Diaries"). So please make sure that you have included your contact details to be eligible to take part in the prize draw.

Thank you for your time and for agreeing to complete the survey.
